Greetings to all my lovely friends! Welcome back to another round of Sunday Sessions, where I spill the beans on everything that has sprinkled a bit of magic over my week. As always, it’s a mix of beauty, wellness, literature, and those simple moments that remind us to pause and soak in the beauty around us. Without further ado, let’s unwrap the treasures of the week!
1. Rainbow Nails: A Splash of Color
This week, I decided to dive headfirst into a pool of colours with a minimalistic rainbow nail design. While the salon did a great job, the adventure was quite the splurge. Next time, I’m eyeing these easy-to-apply nail decals for a DIY session at home. They promise a burst of colour with minimal effort and expense. Perfect for when you want to jazz up your nails on a whim!
2. Chilling and Heating: The Contrast Therapy Experience
In a quest to shake up my wellness routine, I ventured into the world of contrast therapy. The alternating sessions between a toasty sauna and a bracing cold plunge were nothing short of exhilarating. It’s a practice hailed for its health benefits, from improved circulation to enhanced mood, and I must say, it’s an experience that truly wakes up every cell in your body. I went to Sauna Almafi located in Avalon Beach, NSW - but there are loads of these around now!
3. A Literary Gem: Good Material by Dolly Alderton
In between moments of adventure and self-care, I found solace in the pages of Dolly Alderton’s “Good Material.” It’s a book that captures the essence of modern life with humor, warmth, and an uncanny ability to speak to the soul. Alderton’s words are like a comforting embrace, reminding us of the beauty in the ordinary. If you’re in need of a new read, this one’s a heart-warmer. You can grab your copy here.
4. Sunrise Serenity: The Early Bird’s Reward
Lastly, but certainly not least, was the simple joy of waking up early to watch the sunrise. There’s something profoundly peaceful about witnessing the world wake up, bathed in the soft glow of dawn. It’s a reminder of new beginnings and the beauty that awaits us if we’re just willing to rise a little earlier. This practice has brought a sense of calm and perspective to my days, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to find tranquility in their routine.
And there you have it, the little wonders that have made my week extra special. Each one, from the playful to the profound, has added a unique flavour to my days, and I hope they inspire you to find your own bits of joy in the everyday.
Stay tuned for more of my discoveries in the next Sunday Sessions. Until then, may your days be filled with colour, warmth, stories, and the beauty of early mornings.
With love and sugar, Dani
